Mendel Kaelen

I’m Mendel Kaelen, a researcher and creator active at the meeting points of sound, consciousness and therapy.

My work focuses on mental health, change and human transformation, and how these processes can be supported by music. Bridging scientific, developmental and psychological theories, my approach is fundamentally integrative.

I completed my PhD in Neuroscience at Imperial College London, specialising in  the use of music in psychedelic therapy. Through Wavepaths I developed an adaptive music technology used across diverse therapeutic settings worldwide.

I share my thoughts via my newsletter, scientific writing, and various teaching platforms and events.

When not working on these, you are likely to find me immersed in studying, creating or surfing various kinds of waves nearby or inside the Atlantic Ocean.
